Prompt capture

Off by default. When enabled, the content of AI conversations is stored so you can read what was actually asked and answered — under Conversations.

Before you turn it on

This is the most privacy-sensitive setting in the product. Turning it on means you are recording your developers' working conversations.

• Tell your team first. In most jurisdictions and most cultures, quietly recording people's work is both a legal and a trust problem.
• Secrets are redacted before storage, but redaction is not perfect and should not be your only control.
• Captured content honours your retention period and is deleted with it.

When it earns its keep

Incident review ("what exactly did that agent do before it deleted the branch?"), and substantiating a compliance question with evidence rather than assertion. If neither applies to you, leaving it off is a legitimate choice — Activity still records every request, model, outcome and risk finding without the content.
